    General Information

     

    It is a dihydrochalcone-type natural sweetener extracted from the Lithocarpus litseifolius (sweet tea) plant. It has no calories and has the function of lowering blood sugar.

    Product Features

     

    1. Trilobatin is 300 times sweeter than sucrose. It is a natural sweetener with high sweetness and no calories. Its sweetness is refreshing and pure, with a faint tea flavor and sweet aftertaste. It can be used as a food enhancer.

    2. After compounding with erythritol, isomalt, maltitol, and other polysaccharide alcohols, the sweetness, taste,e and flavor characteristics can be similar to sucrose's.

    3. It is non-hygroscopic, non-deliquescent, and has good stability. It is easily soluble in hot water and ethanol, and its solubility in water at room temperature 25°C is 0.7g/L.

    4. Health functional food

    Lowering blood sugar: Trilobatin has been shown to inhibit the activity and antioxidant properties of key enzymes in diabetes (α-glucosidase and α-amylase), inhibit insulin resistance, and improve complications mediated by hyperglycemia. It is a precious plant that can be used as medicine and food and has three functions: tea, sugar, and medicine.

    Liver protection and anti-inflammation: Trilobatin can significantly inhibit the secretion of TNF-α and IL-6 in the serum of LPS-induced samples, reduce the expression levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in liver tissue, and has a significant anti-inflammatory effect.

    Anti-cancer: Trilobatin significantly inhibits gefitinib-resistant lung cancer cells, mainly by inhibiting the NF-kB signaling pathway, thereby inducing apoptosis of lung cancer cells.
