Tris (hydroxymethyl) methylglycine is a zwitterionic buffering reagent, derived from Tris and glycine, with a structure similar to Tris but weaker inhibition at high concentrations. It is also one of the Good's buffering reagents, originally developed to provide a buffer system for chloroplast reactions. The effective pH buffer range for the application of tris (hydroxymethyl) methylglycine (Tricine) is 7.4-8.8, with a pKa of 8.1 (25 ℃). It is commonly used as an electrophoresis buffer and for resuspending cell precipitation. TrChemicalbookidine has the characteristics of low negative charge and high ionic strength, making it highly suitable for electrophoretic separation of low molecular weight proteins ranging from 1 to 100 kDa. In the ATP analysis experiment based on firefly luciferase, compared with 10 common buffer solutions, Tricine (25mM) showed the best detection effect. In addition, Tricine is also an effective hydroxyl radical scavenger in free radical induced membrane damage experiments. Used as a component of biological buffer, for separating low molecular weight peptides, for conventional pH buffer, commonly used for preparing concentrated gels
