1. Aromatic Extraction

Sulfolane is a good solvent for the extraction between liquid and liquid or between liquid and gas. For example: extract benzene, methylbenzene, and dimethylbenzene from heavy oil or hydro cracking naphtha. The product’s purity is more than 99.9%. The rate of recovery is almost 100%. Since the sulfolane has high soluble and choosing function, it can minimize the consumption of project and investment .

1. Acid Gas Removal

To remove the acid gas(H2S, CO2, COS and thio-alcohol) from acid airflow with sulfolane.

1. Recover Sulfur Dioxide

Under normal or higher pressure , recover sulfur dioxide from liquid flow , then make desorption with increasing temperature and /or decreasing pressure.

1. It can be used as solvent for methylization, isomerization or polymerizing reaction or processing solvent for polymer.

1. Extraction distillation

Sulfolane can divide low boiling point mixture with close boiling point or high boiling point material.

1. Fractional distillation of fatty acid and oil

Sulfolane also has some special applications, such as, plasticizing solvent, dye assistant

and other field. It is widely used in Petrochemical, chemistry, medicine intermediate,  natural gas , dye , rubber and plastic industries.
