Secnidazole is a nitroimidazole antigens and anaerobic bacteria drug. Its structure and pharmacological action are similar to metronidazole. It is white to off-white or slightly yellow crystalline powder at room temperature, odorless and bitter, and has anti-trichomoniasis and anti-amoeba protozoa effects. Chemicalbook was originally developed by the French Rhone-PoulencRorer pharmaceutical company. By acting on the growth period of protozoa or anaerobic bacteria, it destroys the DNA chain or inhibits the synthesis of DNA, resulting in the death of protozoa and anaerobic bacteria.
