    Product description

    Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is a non-ionic polymer that is commercially available in several viscosity levels, from low to high molecular weight. These classifications, combined with their solubility in aqueous/organic solvent systems, non-toxic characteristics, and stability against acids, salts, and heat, give PVP great flexibility in application. Industrial applications of PVP include, for example, being used as an adhesive to improve strength and thickness; Increase strength in paper production; Used as resin coating; Modified dyes in synthetic fibers; It is also commonly used in inks, imaging, lithography, detergents and soaps, textiles, pottery, electricity, metallurgy, and as a polymer additive. Due to its excellent adhesion, film forming, dispersion and thickening properties, PVP is also widely used in the pharmaceutical industry.

    PVP is classified according to its average molecular weight size, which is usually marked by the K value, and different K values represent different average molecular weight ranges of PVP. The K value is actually the characteristic value related to the relative viscosity of PVP aqueous solution, and the viscosity is the physical value related to the molecular weight of polymer, so the average molecular weight of PVP can be characterized by K value. Generally speaking, the greater the K value, the greater the viscosity.

    Nature:is hygroscopic, soluble in water, ethanol, ether and other organic solvents, and has strong complex adsorption capacity for various substances.

    Application:PVP K series early cosmetics industry direction can be used as film-forming agent, thickener, lubricant and binder, used for hair spray, mousse, hair setting gel, hair setting liquid;

    are used as auxiliary agents in skin care products, hair dye, modifier, shampoo, lipstick, deodorant, sunscreen, toothpaste, etc;

    PVP K90 (pharmaceutical grade) is one of the new excipients for pharmaceutical synthesis. It can be used as a binder for tablets and granules, a slow-release agent, a cosolvent and stabilizer for injections, a dispersant for glidants, liquid preparations and colorants, a stabilizer for enzymes and heat-sensitive drugs, a co-precipitating agent for insoluble drugs, a prolonging agent for eye drugs, a lubricant and a coating film-forming agent, etc. There are hundreds of drugs using PVP as excipients.

    Storage method:keep in dry place, store in tight closed container.

      What is the PVP K90

      polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), a non-ionic polymer, is the most distinctive and widely studied fine chemical variety among N-vinylamide polymers. Has developed into non-ionic, cationic, anion 3 categories, industrial grade, pharmaceutical grade, food grade 3 specifications, relative molecular mass from thousands to more than one million homopolymer, copolymer and crosslinked polymer series products, and with its excellent unique properties have been widely used. Appearance and properties: white to milky white free flowing powder, odorless or slightly characteristic odor, soluble in water and a variety of organic solvents, with good hygroscopicity, film formation, adhesion, physiological inertia and complexing ability.

      PVP is divided into four stages according to its average molecular weight size, which is usually expressed by the K value, and different K values represent the corresponding average molecular weight range of PVP. The K value is actually an eigenvalue related to the relative viscosity of PVP aqueous solution, and the viscosity is a physical quantity related to the molecular weight of polymers, so the average molecular weight of PVP can be characterized by K value. Generally, the greater the K value, the greater the viscosity and the stronger the adhesion.

      Main applications and functions:

      Pharmaceutical field: It can be used as binder for tablets, particles, co-solvent and stabilizer for injections, flow aid for capsules, dispersant for liquid preparations and coloring agents, eye detoxification and lubricant and coating film agent.

      Daily cosmetics: In the cosmetics industry can be used as dispersant, film forming agent, thickener and adhesive, for hair care products such as spray, mousse, hair gel, shampoo, hair liquid, hair dye; Skin care products such as lip balm, sunscreen, moisturizer and household products deodorant, toothpaste, etc.

      Other industrial uses: coating, water treatment film, ink, ink, cleaning agent, disinfectant, textile printing and dyeing industry used as dispersant, film forming agent and emulsifier and other additives.

      Packing and storage:

      Solid powder 25KG/ cardboard drum, lined with PE bag, dark, sealed, stored in a cool and dry place.
