Appearance: colorless liquid.

Bouquet: pleasant rose and neroli aromas on the nose with a mild, slightly lemon like aroma. Neroli is an isomer of geraniol, which is softer and more elegant than geraniol, and is relatively clear, with fresh aromas and citrus notes.

Chemical properties:

Neroli alcohol contains double bond and alcohol hydroxyl group, which can produce substitution reaction and addition reaction.

Under the catalysis of concentrated sulfuric acid, two kinds of tetralkenes can be produced by heat dehydration and elimination reaction.

1mol of neroli alcohol was fully burned in oxygen, requiring 470.4l oxygen (standard condition).

At room temperature, 1mol of aurantiol reacts with brominated carbon tetrachloride solution and consumes up to 3mol of bromine and 480g of bromine.
