The thiol group can react with metal surfaces, other thiols, disulfide, maleimide, and vinyl sulfone groups. JenKem’s monodisperse PEGs retain the polyethylene glycol’s good solubility in water, while offering to PEGylated drugs the same PEG benefits of reduced aggregation and immunogenicity, and increased hydrodynamic volume.
