Products Description:
L-Valine is an essential amino acid and one of the three 'branched-chain amino acids' (BCAAs) along with L-leucine and L-isoleucine. BCAAs are not produced in the human body, but must be consumed from dietary sources. BCAAs account for 35% of the essential amino acids in muscle proteins and 40% of the amino acids required by human metabolism. BCAAs, including L-Valine, are required for protein synthesis necessary for muscle growth, in addition to helping to support healing of injured tissues and the healthy functioning of the nervous system.
L-Valine, along with the other BCAAs, are commonly consumed as a dietary supplement by weightlifters and performance athletes in workout routines.
