Hydroxyethyl starch series products (hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4, hydroxyethyl starch 200/0.5) are made from natural waxy corn starch (waxy maize starch) through hydrolysis, hydroxyethylation and refining. Its preparations - hydroxyethyl starch 130 / 0.4 sodium chloride injection and hydroxyethyl starch 200 / 0.5 sodium chloride injection are the best plasma substitutes in the world at present, with good volume expansion effect and little toxic and side effects, which has been widely used in clinic, such as blood or plasma loss and low blood volume caused by operation, burn, sepsis, blood exchange, blood supplement and other purposes.
