Gac Extract

Descriptions of  Gac Extract :

Gac is a plant that belong to Cucurbitaceae Family, common name is Spring Bitter Cucumber and its scientific name is Momordica cochinchinensis. Mostly found throughout the region from Southern China to North-eastern Australia and South-eastern Asia.
Gac has been used as food and natural remedy for a long time. Thai people take its unripe fruit, buds and immature leaves to cook and eat with chili paste.

The phytochemical the mostly found in Gac is Carotenoids which is a precursor of Vitamin A, support eye health and also act as anti-oxidants such as Beta-carotene (Pro-vitamin A), Lycopene and Lutein. It was found that Beta-carotene in Gac is higher than Carrot around 10 times and Lycopene is higher than Tomato around 70-200 times.
Moreover, it also has a research from Mahidol university, Thailand found that the seed of Gac has a protein which can inhibit HIV growth and also inhibit cancer cells.
