Light brown to brown powder; Have a special foul-smelling. Flavomycin is a phosphorylated polysaccharide antibiotic. Its antibacterial mechanism is to inhibit bacterial reproduction by interfering with the biosynthesis of peptidoglycan, a structural substance in cell walls. The growth promoting mechanism of flavomycin may be that it can improve the digestion of energy and protein in feed. It can thin the intestinal wall and improve the absorption of nutrients. It can effectively maintain the balance of intestinal flora and the stability of rumen pH value. The bacteria are not easy to develop resistance to xanthomycin, and xanthomycin is not easy to develop cross-resistance with other antibiotics. The antibiotic spectrum of xanthomycin is narrow, which is mainly effective against gram-positive bacteria, and also effective against gram-positive bacteria resistant to other antibiotics, but very weak against gram-negative bacteria. + poultry feed
Adding flavomycin to poultry feed can improve weight gain and feed efficiency, prevent coccidiosis, enhance heat stress resistance, improve laying rate and promote pigment deposition. Adding flavomycin to broilers diet could increase weight gain by 9.31%, decrease feed weight ratio by 8.7%, and increase economic benefit by about 20%. Luo xianhu et al. added 5mg/kg and 10mg/kg of flavomycin to the corns and soybean meal based diet, respectively, and the survival rate of broilers in the high temperature season was increased by 3.25% and 3.75% respectively, and the weight gain rate was increased by more than 13%, and there was no significant difference between the two experimental groups in weight gain and feed conversion rate. When changwenhuan et al. fed the broilers with 5mg/kg of flavomycin, 300mg/kg of listerine, 2.5mg/kg of listerine +150mg/kg of listerine and 150mg/kg of aureomycin, the weight gain of the flavomycin group was 15.26%, 7.61% and 6.92% higher than that of the other three groups, and the daily food intake was 18.2%, 6.1% and 1.53% higher, respectively. The economic benefits were 78.74%, 95.68% and 187.34% higher, respectively. Wei jianping's experiment on the weight and production performance of laying hens at the growing stage showed that the daily weight gain of 4mg/kg flavomycin was 4.05% higher than that of the control group, the material consumption was reduced by 16.8%, the material weight ratio was reduced by 20.0%, and the input-output ratio was 1:22. In addition, the start date of production was advanced, the time of egg production was prolonged, and the egg production was increased by 14.1%. Song yuguang et al added 5mg/kg of flavomycin into the feed of the experimental group and fed it to laying hens of the same age. Through the 4-month experiment, the average egg-laying rate of the experimental group increased by 5.17%, the ratio of feed to egg decreased by 0.14, and the dead Amoy rate decreased by 0.34%.
