Econazole nitrate Usage：

Econazole nitrate is a pyrrole antifungal drug and a dechloroderivative of miconazole. It has antibacterial action against Candida, Pigmentum, Coccidioides, histoplasmosis, Sporotrichophyton, etc. It also has antibacterial activity against trichophyton trichophyton. It has a poor effect on Aspergillus, Sporotrichia Schenckii, some melanosporaceae, Mucor, etc. By interfering with the activity of cytochrome P450, it inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol, the main steroid of fungal cell membrane, damages fungal cell membrane and changes its permeability, resulting in the leakage of important intracellular substances. It can inhibit the biosynthesis of triacylglycerol and phospholipids of fungi, inhibit the activity of oxidase and peroxidase, and cause intracellular hydrogen peroxide accumulation leading to cell submicrostructure degeneration and cell necrosis. Candida albicans can inhibit the process of its transformation from spore to aggressive mycelium. It is suitable for tinea handi, tinea pedis, tinea jock, tinea corporis, tinea versicolor and candidiasis of skin.
