Ecdysone is an active substance extracted from the roots of the commelina plant cyanotis arachnoidea C. B. Clarke.The ability to stimulate protein synthesis in the cytoplasm of muscle cells by increasing the assembly of amino acids into protein chains can be traced back to the translation and migration processes of protein growth.
