Abstract:Meropenem which was synthesized in 1990 for the first time is the first 1β-methyl carbapenem antibiotic. It is stable to β-lactamases and renal dehydropeptidase-Ⅰ(DHP-Ⅰ),and can be used for mono-therapy and not necessary to be combined with dehydropeptidase inhibitors.
