Product description

Betulin powder is a lupine-type pentacyclic triterpenoid compound composed of 6 isoprene. The molecular formula is C30H50O2, the relative molecular mass is 442.72, and the melting point is 252-253°C. It is soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform and benzene, and slightly soluble in organic solvents such as cold water and petroleum ether. In 1788, Lowit first reported that the substance was contained in birch bark and separated it.
