Its antibacterial spectrum is similar with penicillin, it has bactericidal effect on gram positive bacteria and negative staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus, gonococcus, Neisseria meningitidis and spirochetes. Its mechanism not only acts on the cell wall, but also influences protoplast and has damage effect on the cellular plasma membrane by affecting its permeability.
