γ-butyrolactone

Properties: colorless and transparent, with oil-like liquid similar to acetone odor, can be miscible with water, acetone, carbon tetrachloride and ethanol, decomposed in hot lye, with aromatic odor.
USES:
(1), mainly used for the manufacture of A-pyrrolidone, N-methyl pyrrolidone, polyethylene pyrrolidone, acetyl γ -butanolactone and other products;
(2), in the pharmaceutical industry can be used as anesthetics and sedatives, can synthesize ciprofloxacin and interferon, etc., is the intermediate of vitamins, cipropanamine, etc.;
(3), also has a wide range of uses in agriculture and forestry, is the production of plant growth agents, pesticides and other intermediates.
(4), can be used as antioxidant, plasticizer, extraction agent, absorbent, dispersant, fixing agent, coagulant;
(5), can be used for battery, capacitor production, color coil, etc.
