LINK Medical strengthens its position in Germany as a strategic gateway between Europe and the Nordics

LINK Medical, the Northern European clinical research organization (CRO), is continuing the expansion of its German presence. This further strengthens their position as a gateway between the Nordics and one of the largest medical device and pharmaceutical markets in Europe. By establishing a stronger position in Germany, LINK Medical’s global clients get access to Germany’s well-recognized regulatory authorities, its vast network of clinical trial sites and investigators, and Europe’s largest patient population – all key elements for performing high-quality clinical trials.

LINK Medical’s German office was established in 2015 and since then has expanded into a strong and dynamic team currently covering Medical Device Consultancy, Clinical Operations and Regulatory services. All team members work with experienced and established companies that know exactly what they want on well-defined projects as well as with start-ups who often need a broader, step-by-step guidance for bringing their innovation from concept stage to market. An important Clinical Operations group of experts, apart from Project Management and Monitoring, is the Start-up group that supports clients globally in achieving a rapid study start, saving resources and time. The strengthening of LINK Medical’s German team also include the recent appointment of a German-based Medical Device Director, Erwin de Buijzer MD, MBA, enabling LINK Medical to continue growing its leading medical device services and capabilities in Germany, in particular focusing on digital health. With a leadership background in the medical device sector, as well as a business education and experience as a medical doctor, Mr. de Buijzer brings considerable medical device expertise to LINK Medical and the German team. Erwin’s addition will build upon the team’s existing offerings by focusing on new and innovative approaches and methods in the medical device arena, with solutions for customers at every stage of product development. This ranges from the implementation of quality management systems and clinical validation, to helping customers achieve commercialisation and gain market access.
