South Korea's health ministry said that Moderna will supply the country with 7.01 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines by the first week of September, as reported Sunday in Financial Post.
According to the ministry, 1.01 million doses are expected to arrive on Monday, with another 6 million to be supplied sequentially.
While Moderna delivered 1.3 million doses earlier this month, it later informed South Korea that it would only be able to deliver less than half the 8.5 million doses it had been due to ship in August.
"In response to our request to speed up and expand the vaccine supply, Moderna informed us that it will supply 7.01 million doses by the first week of September," the ministry said.
