Definition:
Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine or thiamin, is a water-soluble vitamin that belongs to the vitamin B family and was the first one discovered by scientists.
It was discovered by Umetaro Suzuki in Japan while researching how rice bran could help patients with Beriberi.
