The Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) has amended the Drug (Prices Control) Order, 2013.
In a notification issued recently, the department said, “In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following order further to amend the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, namely—
Short title and commencement: this order may be called the Drugs (Prices Control) Amendment Order, 2021. It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
In the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013—
(i) in paragraph 24, in sub-paragraph (3), after the word and figure “Form-V,” the words and figure “or Form-VI” shall be inserted.
(ii) in paragraph 25, in sub-paragraph (2), after the word and figure “Form-V,” the words and figure “or FormVI” shall be inserted.”
In the amendment, it provided the proforma for a price list for medical devices, which needs to be submitted.
