Several Russian volunteers who claim they were given a less effective COVID-19 vaccine instead of the Sputnik V vaccine are considering pursuing legal action, as reported The Moscow Times on Monday.
Seven patients said they were either misled into thinking they had received Sputnik V or met with a lack of Sputnik V doses at their vaccination sites, and were inoculated with EpiVacCorona.
Vektor Institute, which developed EpiVacCorona last year, said recently that nearly half of EpiVacCorona recipients lacked antibodies nine months after receiving the vaccine.
Russian health officials previously said that EpiVacCorona had 100% efficacy, according to the news source.
