Shanghai Luye Lilan Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Connected project, will be open for patients in 2024.
Luye Medical and Cleveland Clinic jointly presented an architectural scale model of the world's first Cleveland Clinic Connected project-the Shanghai Luye Lilan Hospital.
Various leaders from the government agency of Shanghai's Minhang District and the Shanghai New Hong Qiao International Medical Center (IMC), the Consul-General from the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, representatives of industry associations and renowned experts from key therapeutic areas in China and a team from Cleveland Clinic attended the event, and held discussions on how to leverage innovative medical technologies and service models globally to achieve the "Healthy China 2030" vision.
Revolving around the patient-centered healthcare philosophy, the Shanghai Luye Lilan Hospital will fully draw on China's landscaping elements in its architectural design to create a medical space seamlessly connected with nature, to help patients heal better physically and mentally, and to improve their overall health.
The hospital will adopt the latest digital technologies and follow the international quality assurance standards to create a highly green, very flexible and most comfortable space, to improve Chinese patients' experience through the best building and the best equipment.
Every patient will be able to enjoy an environment that is natural with various layers in this space, including an open, landscape-rich atrium, a well-vented glass rooftop that can provide plenty of natural light, and the main building surrounded by a courtyard.
It will focus on key therapeutic areas including cardiology, urology, digestive disease, and oncology, to keep improving clinical outcomes, to perform tech-intensive complex surgeries, and to provide a wide range of high-quality patient-centered medical services.
