Metrics Appoints Greenville Ops VP

Metrics Contract Services (Metrics), a division of Mayne Pharma, has appointed Troy Woelfel as Vice President of Operations and General Manager of Mayne Pharma Greenville Operations. 
 
The company has also added more than 20 analytical chemists and formulation scientists to support the growing pipeline of committed business.  
 
Mr. Woelfel will focus on further advancing the performance of the expanded Greenville operations following completion of the $80-million oral solid-dose commercial manufacturing facility in 2018. He has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in CDMO operations, supply chain, engineering and maintenance. 
 
John Ross, president of Mayne Pharma US said, "Troy has a proven track record of success in improving quality outcomes, building teams and culture, and overseeing significant expansion in complex operating environments. Metrics is seeing a significant increase in new projects and commercial demand, and expansion of the scientific team of formulators and chemists will support this growth. This expansion will enhance the team's responsiveness, internal analytical capabilities and capacity, and support Metrics' rigorous scientific approach and specialized knowledge." 
 
Mr. Woelfel has held management positions at Teligent, Pfizer/Hospira and Novo Nordisk. He holds a Six Sigma master black belt, and served as a Naval Flight Officer in multiple deployments throughout the world.
