Former specialty drug company E. Claiborne Robins has filed a $110-million lawsuit suit against Teva in a dispute over a 2007 asset purchasing agreement, reported Richmond.com.
The lawsuit accuses Teva of failing to live up to "commercially reasonable efforts" to market a patented muscle relaxer called Amrix developed by Robins and sold in 2007 to Cephalon, which Teva went on to acquire in 2011.
The suit alleges that under an agreement formula, Teva must pay Robins $97.5 million, and with interest added, the amount rises to at least $110 million.
