WuXi AppTec opens new medical device testing centre in Suzhou

WuXi AppTec's Laboratory Testing Division provides a world-class, globally integrated testing solution for drug and medical device development and manufacturing

WuXi AppTec announces that its Laboratory Testing Division's new Medical Device Testing Center opens in Suzhou, China. This marks the full implementation of WuXi AppTec's medical device testing capabilities in the Chinese market, which works with its existing United States-based medical device testing centers in St. Paul and Atlanta to form a globally integrated medical device testing platform to serve medical device customers worldwide.

We enable scientists to transform ideas into healthcare products, accelerate the development and commercialization from bench to bedside," said Dr. Jason Liu, Senior Vice President of WuXi AppTec and Chief Operating Officer of WuXi AppTec's Laboratory Testing Division.

By providing integrated medical device testing and regulatory services from research and development to commercialization, WuXi AppTec's Laboratory Testing Division enables medical device companies to efficiently control product quality in its product life cycle from R&D to commercial sales.

The new medical device testing center operates in 15,000 square meters facility in Suzhou. Through the transfer of the capabilities, operation and quality management system of WuXi AppTec's United States-based Medical Device Testing Center, the new center will provide comprehensive medical device testing services that are in compliance with international quality standards.

Its testing services will include biomaterials analysis, toxicology, biocompatibility, risk assessment, product aseptic design microbiology, physical testing of packaging and shelf life, product batch release testing and more. The new center will enable medical device companies worldwide to bring the leading medical and health products to patients in China and around the world.
