WuXi Biologics Commenced Construction of 48,000L Biologics Commercial Manufacturing Center in Shijiazhuang

►The new Biologics Center will be one of the largest in northern China

WuXi Biologics (2269.HK), a leading global open-access biologics technology platform company offering end-to-end solutions for biologics discovery, development and manufacturing, today announced that construction has commenced on a Biologics Manufacturing Center of excellence (MFG8), in the city of Shijiazhuang, one hour train from Beijing.

The new Biologics Center with 48,000L bioreactor capacity, one of the largest global facilities using disposable bioreactors will be built to meet cGMP standards of the United States, the European Union, and China. It will be the 8th drug substance manufacturing facility of WuXi Biologics which plans to have more than 220,000L manufacturing capacity by 2021.
