United Family Hospital's New 'Community Clinic' Opens to provide a full range of Health Services in

A complete range of health services are readily available at the Clinic, including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, OBGYN, Wellness & Mental Health, Dental Services, an onsite Laboratory, X-ray equipment, an onsite pharmacy and more. The purpose of bringing the community this full array of services at the Clinic is for both disease prevention as well as support and management of chronic diseases.

The location is centred at the fulcrum of the larger Hongqiao area, resulting in optimum convenience for internationally-minded families living in the entire district and beyond. Being situated within Fashion Plaza, directly across the street from the Shanghai American School, makes the Clinic a 10 minutes' walk or 5 minutes' drive from the SRC compound.

As with all facilities in the UFH network, the United Family Fengshang Clinic is staffed by highly qualified medical practitioners from China and around the world. The Clinic offers direct billing to numerous global insurance providers and strictly adheres to the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation standards.

The location, care standards and all aspects of the Clinic experience been considered, the key design concept of HPP is to put in a humanized medical space experience, that will satisfy patients' physical and emotional needs. First, the spaces were arranged according to its complexity, except the load bearing walls, other partitions were dismantled and ranked along with space division, which can realize multi-functional medical rooms in a limited space in order to create all necessary space, including intensive care, doctor's offices and service rooms.

"Humanistic Concern" is not a shallow statement to HPP designers, but a process of applying related design into specific space after deep exploration of medical space characteristics. Themed as circles, a series of space divisions form a virtuous closed loop containing entrance hallway, nurse's station, doctor's offices, information desk, chemical lab, pharmacy, where patients can recover after being ill, take medical treatment, and leave with a positive experience. The space design corresponds to the life style of repeating in endless circles.

Created as a 'patient's clinic', existing and previous patients were involved in the thought-process and research from the start, to ensure that the wishes and needs of real people were taken into account and can be satisfied with the final achievement.
