CSA Group Korean Lab Now Accredited as a Certified Body Test Laboratory (CBTL)

CSA Group, a leading global provider of product testing & certification services and standards development, announced the accreditation of its Korean laboratory as an official Certification Body Test Laboratory (CBTL) for ICT, Audio/Video and medical devices.

This lab specializes in testing and certification services for electro-medical and laboratory equipment such as imaging devices, home healthcare medical equipment, EGC monitoring devices, microscopes, sterilizers, patient monitoring devices, and many more.

With the new IECEE CBTL status, testing at CSA Group's Korean laboratory assists customers to obtain fast and efficient product approvals for global markets by receiving multiple national safety certifications for their respective products through harmonization of technical requirements across nations. This reduces the need for multiple test plans in different countries.

IECEE CB Scheme

Operated by the IEC System of Conformity Assessment Schemes for Electrotechical Equipment and Components (IECEE), the CB Scheme is a multilateral agreement for the mutual recognition of product safety test results among participating countries and certification organizations around the world. It enables manufacturers to obtain multiple national safety certifications for their product.
