The 13th China International Exhibition of Senior Care, Rehabilitation Medicine and Healthcare (CHINA AID ) will take place from 28th to 30th May 2018 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
As the first city in China to have entered the stage of demographic aging, Shanghai has witnessed its elderly population over the age of 60 accounting for 31.6% of the entire population by the end of 2016 and the City is estimated to experience a yearly increase of the elderly population by 200,000 on average before 2025, ranking as one of the oldest cities in the world within the next decade.
Shanghai Government has been actively involving social forces in the development of the elderly care industry and private and foreign capital has been pouring into the market. Over the past year, local state-owned capital has also endeavored to get into the elderly care market and investments have been made in community home care programs, contributing to an upgrade of services for the elderly, benefiting a larger amount of people.
CHINA AID is jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Committee on Ageing and CPITSH. With 17 years' of robust growth, CHINA AID has developed into one of the most authoritative elderly and long-term care events in China. It is one of the largest and most established exhibitions of its kind in Asia, incorporating multiple platforms for product demonstration, service showcasing, knowledge exchange and networking.
As a leading trade show, CHINA AID 2017 enjoyed strong participation from overseas and this year featured 327 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, with a floor space of 25,000 sqm, attracting 40,458 professional visitors. Japanese, French, British and Taiwan, Chinaese exhibitors featured state-of-the-art elderly care products and services displayed in their pavilions.
