Goldfinch Bio’s researchers select StarDrop to guide successful drug discovery.
Optibrium, a developer of software for small molecule discovery, and Goldfinch Bio, a company focused on discovering and developing precision therapies to treat patients with kidney disease, have announced that the company has signed a multi-year agreement to license Optibrium’s StarDrop software. The agreement will see the deployment of six of StarDrop’s plug-in modules and implementation of StarDrop’s Query Interface for seamless integration with Goldfinch Bio’s chemistry and biology databases.
StarDrop is a complete package of fully integrated software for small molecule design, optimisation and data analysis. With a highly visual and user-friendly interface it enables a seamless flow from the latest data through to predictive modelling and decision-making regarding the next round of synthesis and research, improving the speed, efficiency and productivity of the drug discovery process. Seamlessly connecting with other models, informatics methods and databases, StarDrop provides user-friendly access to resources making project management quicker and simpler.
Dr Matthew Segall, Optibrium’s CEO, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Goldfinch Bio to the family of StarDrop users. We look forward to working with their scientists to support their use of StarDrop in the discovery of new precision therapies for kidney disease."
Dr Thomas Tibbitts, VP of Computational Discovery at Goldfinch, commented: "We chose StarDrop as a platform to extend our use of in silico methods for prioritisation of high quality compounds and design of the next iteration for synthesis and testing. Its seamless integration and user friendly interface makes these approaches accessible to all of our project team."
