Malecare launches new mobile application Cancergraph to track cancer symptoms

US-based men’s cancer survivor support and advocacy national non-profit organisation Malecare has launched a new mobile application, Cancergraph, which tracks cancer symptoms.

The application tracks disease states and quality of life reports in real time and quickly identifies its primary value as a clinical trial accrual system.

Cancergraph distils health data of each user to provide only the specific cancer trials in real-time that apply to them, instead of asking the patients to do the searching.

Using this application, clinical trial announcements can be directed solely to patients who meet the exact criteria for accrual.

Malecare founder Darryl Mitteldorf said: "For anyone who is going through cancer this is an invaluable tool.

"The ability to accurately keep track of symptoms and side effects changes cancer care for both the patient and doctor."

Cancergraph is a combination of Uber and Match and will enable cancer patients to live longer by entering clinical trials that provide new treatment therapies.

Initially it will serve as a memory tool for patients, giving them and their doctors reliable reports about day-to-day cancer-related experiences.

Patients can use the applications’ easy-to-navigate interface to select from a list of more than 200 symptoms and side effects, and have the option to include cancer types, medications and concerns.

Cancergraph uses the information and extracts the data into a report that can be seen by the patients on their phone or email it to doctors.

The disease-related and symptom-related photos taken by the patients will be added to a secure photo storage area on their mobile device.

Cancergraph’s journal feature will enable them to document their experiences in detail.
