The MedTech Conference provides the ideal environment to connect with thousands of medical technology professionals in one place, at one time, without traveling all over the world.

The conference offers the following opportunities for the academic and technology transfer community.

MedTech Connect

MedTech Connect allows academic participants to search for potential industry partners and attendees with similar interests, and request one-on-one meetings based on mutually available times. Meetings will take place onsite in the MedTech Connect Zone area of the Exhibit Hall. In 2018, partnering meetings including at lease one academic participant accounted for 12% of the total scheduled meetings. The top five academic partnering institutions averaged 15 scheduled meetings through MedTech Connect.

Program

The MedTech Conference program includes over 100 sessions and presentations that provide the latest updates on trends and the future of the industry. Relevant for academic attendees are sessions that focus on regulatory issues, startup and innovation in medtech topics, town halls with both the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the MedTech Innovator Showcase sessions presenting the brightest startups and small companies in the industry.
The 2019 conference program will be available late spring 2019.

Informal Networking

In addition to structured networking through MedTech Connect and attending the educational program, academic attendees are offered multiple ways to connect with other attendees, such as the Exhibit Hall, networking receptions and Academic Meetup.
