The 11th Annual Meeting of the International Conference on Genomics (ICG-11), organized by BGI, will take place from Friday, November 4 to Sunday, November 6, 2016, in the newly opened China National Genebank, Dapeng Peninsula, Shenzhen.

The ICG-11 website (www.icg-11.org) provides the preliminary program and other relevant information. Registration is now open.

Over the past decade, the ICG meetings have developed into one of the most influential annual meetings in the ‘omics’  research community, and have become a forum that facilitates international collaboration and global partnership.

ICG-11 will enable more innovation and inspiration to the scientific community - bringing together key scientific leaders and rising stars, as well as industry veterans, young researchers and scientific enthusiasts from all over the world.

Following the “Needed by All, Owned by All, Done by All, Shared by All” spirit of the Human Genome Project (“HGP Spirit”), the theme of ICG-11 is “Omics for All – Global Partnership”. The goal of this meeting is to reinforce and expand collaboration in omics research at all levels, as well as focus on topics related to precision medicine and healthcare; omic efforts to alleviate agriculture and poverty; green ecology and bio-economy; big data and biobanking; advanced intelligent manufacturing, and much more.

Early November is the best time to visit the Southeast region of China due to the good weather and flowers still in bloom. It is also the best time to appreciate the wonderful sea views and the developing natural beauty of the Dapeng Peninsula. The ICG-11 meeting will also represent a significant moment, as the new China National Genebank opens its doors to the public for the first time.

Join us and, in this wonderful setting, exchange ideas, experience technical breakthroughs, and meet with your colleagues and friends, both old and new.

We look forward to you joining us in this significant event in Dapeng/Shenzhen.
