Nashville Health And Fitness Expo 2014

　　The Golden Years is a free health and wellness expo for Middle Tennessee area seniors looking to only get better with age. The expo gives seniors many options to learn about significant health matters that effect those that are aging in place. In the first year, we had the honor of having booths, entertainment and goodies from FiftyForward, Home Depot, Michael’s, Vanderbilt Coalition for Healthy Aging, YMCA/Silver Sneakers, SMART , Ms. Chea, Paul Mitchell, Holiday Retirement (Windlands East and Windlands South), Christie Cookie, American Diabetes Association and Swan Urogynecology, PC.

 

　　We expect all those wonderful supporters and more to return. The event, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 at Fifty Forward Patricia Hart Building, 174 Raines Ave., will include manicures, health screenings and vital information to nearly 300 seniors from various economical backgrounds. We hope to make an impact again for this community on April 29.

 

　　The funds raised will help Progress Inc., a non-profit provider agency for seniors and people with disabilities, to provide transportation and support services to the programs that help these individuals “age with grace, while staying in place.”
