Ozone is widely used in oxidation, disinfection and other fields because of its strong oxidation ability. Ozone is a kind of gas which can not be stored in the environment because of its chemical instability. Therefore, this kind of molecule must be produced by the ozonator according to the need. This device is also called "ozonator". It generates discharge in the oxygen flow (O2) and generates ozone molecule (O3). This means that the solid cyclodextrin host can capture concentrations 100-1000 times higher than water. Due to the release of guest gas molecules in contact with water environment, the obtained ozone hpbcd complex showed significant antibacterial and antifungal effects. The stability of solid hpbcd complex is moderate at room temperature (20% ozone loss is observed every day), which can be overcome by cold storage.
