Preparation of turforaphane with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion

Turforaphane is the main isothiocyanate compound in radish seeds. Due to its great attention for its strong anti-cancer, antioxidant, insecticide and sterilization effects, radish has a pungent odor, easy to oxidation and low solubility in water-soluble solution, which limits its development and application. Luforaphin / hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion

 were prepared using hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin as a wall material. Through research, the sulforaphane / hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion was prepared by freeze-drying method, and orthogonal test, the optimal embedding process of sulforaphane / hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin inclusion was determined as: core wall ratio of 1:7, inclusion temperature of 60℃, and inclusion time of 3.0 h.The inclusion rate of forforaphane / hydroxypropyl-cyclodextrin package was 75.9% and the embedding rate was 85.8%.

Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin is easily soluble in water, with a solubility greater than 50% (m / V) at room temperature, or even up to 75% (m / V) or above.So it can not crystallize in aqueous alcohol solution, and when its concentration is less than 40%, it is good and not sticky.
