Dr. Xiaoxiong Wei, co-founder, chief medical officer and executive VP of WDP, is a seasoned professional in clinical science and regulatory affairs. He served as senior reviewer at the OCP/CDER (Center for Drug Evaluation and Research), FDA for nearly 10 years. In 2007, Dr, Wei joined Medpace, a CRO start-up company, and built up the early-phase study capability, and the CRO secured approximately 80% clinical projects with new drug therapy for metabolic disease across the globe and growed rapidly into a top-10 clinical CRO company in the world and launched an IPO on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in 2016. WD Pharma is developing a proprietary drug/device combination delivery platform: AcuSiS®, the pediatric and geriatric drug delivery system. AcuSiS®- Innovative Drug Delivery System to Solve Issue of Dysphagia and Medication Phobia AcuSiS® (Accurate Sip in Second) is a straw-like device designed to facilitate oral ingestion of pharmaceutical granules or pellets for pediatric and geriatric patients who have difficulty swallowing large-sized tablets and capsules. This "Fill and Finish" device with a dynamic mixing feature allows patients to ingest the pharmaceutical granules or pellets in a blink of an eye, greatly improving the administration of medicines to patients, especially pre-school children who are usually experience medication phobia.
