Founded in 2005, Shanghai Heqi Group comprises several enterprises, including Shanghai Heqi Glass Instrument Co., Ltd., Shanghai Heqi Chemical Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Heqi Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Heqi Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd. The group produces and sells glass instruments, laboratory equipment, and laboratory consumables under the brands "RY" and "HEQI GLASS". With over 20 sales branches across the country, the company passed the ISO9001 international quality management system certification in February 2006 and has participated in the formulation of national standards for glass instruments several times. The founder, Liu Changbing, is a specially-appointed think tank expert in the field of chemical industry instruments for the Academic Committee of the China Management Academy. In August 2018, Shanghai Heqi purchased 24 acres of industrial land in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, to build a factory, adding over 10,000 square meters of production and storage space. This led to the establishment of Jiangsu Heqi Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd., which oversees three units: a glass instrument factory, a laboratory equipment factory, and a comprehensive warehouse. These units are responsible for producing special specification glass instruments, chemical and laboratory equipment, as well as the storage, inspection, and logistics of Shanghai Heqi's regular products. In July 2022, Shanghai Heqi organized a research and development team consisting of experts in chemical research and development, mechanical design and processing, and electronic control. This led to the establishment of Shanghai Heqi Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd., a company focused on developing advanced scientific instruments. With the goal of replacing imported equipment, the company strives to develop innovative and efficient experimental equipment such as rotary evaporators, reaction kettles, and distillation units. Simultaneously, they focus on the research and development of automation machinery for glass instrument production. Currently, automated production equipment for nuclear magnetic tubes, standard stoppers, and pistons has been put into use.
