Kailu Biomedical Development Zone is located in the southeast of Kailu County. It started construction in 2008, with a planned area of 29 square kilometers and a completed area of 14.7 square kilometers. It is an autonomous region-level industrial park, an autonomous region undertaking industrial transfer demonstration park, an industrial circular economy demonstration park, a key construction park of the "Double Ten Billion Project" and Demonstration park for the industrialization of agriculture and animal husbandry in the autonomous region. The corn biomedical industry chain in Kailu County is complete. It has formed 6 series of 160 varieties, including antibiotics, vitamins, amino acids, alcohol and fuel ethanol, green food and drug additives and corn by-products, with an annual conversion capacity of 2.6 million tons of corn. It has been recognized by the China Fermentation Association as "with the conditions for the establishment of a national corn biological fermentation production base" and recognized by the China Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry Association as having the conditions for the establishment of a national API base. At present, 14 corn deep-processing enterprises have been cultivated, such as Yuwang, Huashu, Liniu, Changhui, Shengda, Gongyao, Huayao, Shengxue Dacheng, etc., and 14 projects under construction, such as Jinyufeng, Kaiyuan, Huaxin, Anzhou, Jiupeng and Zhonghui, have been cultivated. By the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan, 5.5 million tons of corn will be transformed annually, and the output value will reach 60 billion yuan.
